As I read your Web pages from Finland, Europe I'm slightly behind the current fads in dog names...but my little black spitz dog's name is Eppu which translates to Linus (the furry-haired friend of Charlie Brown`s in Peanuts). And the official European breed of my Linus is called German Middle Spitz, quite the same as American Eskimo Dog but with a rainbow of coat colors to choose from.

I volunteer with Little Angels Pug Rescue. You wouldn't believe how many pugs we've picked up named "Pugsley." I did meet one that the guardian had named "Repugnant" and another one named "Uhrlacher" after his favorite football player.

We got a bishon named Romeo from a rescue. Although it is not a name we would have chosen, we added onto it to personalize it to us. His formal name is now Romeo Montague Bear but his tags just show Romeo MB. Lately, we have taken to calling him Alfie, as in Alfa Romeo. He quickly seems to have taken to his new nickname.

Have a beautiful black and white long-haired kitty named Satchel - found him in a vinyl zip-up bag with three other kittens. They were all so beautiful, found homes for all in one afternoon!
