I co-starred with Tom Brown in a 1959 film called "The Choppers." Tom had also been a close friend of our family.
He was a kind and decent human being.
Tom was loved by all who had the good fortune of meeting him, and he was also a very brave man. And what a fine actor! God bless you Tom. We all miss you. BURR MIDDLETON

Lily Pons' Dallas home was across the street from our home all these years. Joan Crawford used to vacation there as did other stars. A.though we bought this home in 1972, and she died 1976. we did not meet but the neighborhood legends live on. I grew up loving her because I was a singer from early childhood, later, music major through several college degrees, singing coach, performer too. Sorry we did not get to know her.

It was my 6th birthday and Daddy, being the charismatic man that he was, seemed to be busy elsewhere...Just when I had about lost all hope, he streamed into the party with a huge and beautifully wrapped box in his arms. My almost life size ballerina dancing doll was my favorite present. He died six months later. Till this day, I wrestle with charismatic men, fearing they will leave, but understanding the valuable gifts they lend to a human heart..

Timeless, classy and elegant actresses today have no idea what that means but Lena embodied it effortlessly

Haley definately deserves a Star. Some of his his early 50s music was pretty clearly rockabilly several years before Elvis, and he had a top 50 hit "Crazy Man Crazy" in 1953.
After listening to his music with the Four Aces of Western Swing from the late 40s, I'd have to question that they were actually playing Western swing. None of the songs were Western swing standards, there was practically no fiddle, etc.
Still, I say, Go Bill!

Yes - leaving out Lon Chaney in this featurette is a crime - especially when Norman Kerry IS included. Nothing really against him, but put his performance as Raoul (or almost any of the other performances) against Chaney's Opera Ghost in "Phantom of the Opera"!! NO contest. :-)

As an 8th and 9th grader, I was 'in love' with 'Dick West'. Apparently I was watching re-runs of that wonderful show, Range Rider, but didn't know it! That was 1955-1957. I don't remember the time or station, but we lived in Arlington, VA and it was in the afternoon.

Then, one Sunday, in Sunday School, we saw a movie about the Prodigal Son, and, OH, MY! My secret love, Dick Jones was the STAR! He was so much my heartthrob!

It's amazing how much I have loved 'Dick West' thru the years, even tho I never saw him after wards. Until today! My niece gave me the 'Gun Justice' DVD collection of classic TV westerns. In one of the Lone Ranger episodes, 'Rustler's Hideout', the 'Son of the Rancher', Jim, looked oh so cute and familiar. And, yep, there he was, Dickie Jones.

So, guess I'm gonna have to get the DVD set of 'Range Rider'

I, too, wouldn't mind getting a note or signed picture from Mr Dick Jones, even now!
