Gordon Jones was an actor best known for his starring role in "The Green Hornet" (1940) and his regular appearances on "The Abbott and Costello Show."
Jones was born April 5, 1911, in Alden, Iowa. His film credits included "We Who Are About to Die" (1937), "Flying Tigers" (1942), "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty" (1947), "Big Timber" (1950),"Wagon Team" (1952) and "McLintock!" (1963). He also appeared in a number of television shows, including "The Ray Milland Show," "The Adventures of Ozzie & Harriet," "The Joey Bishop Show" and "Maverick."
He died of a heart attack at age 52 on June 20, 1963, shortly after completing his final project, "McLintock!"
