Henri Rene was an orchestra leader who was popular in the 1950s. His albums included "Compulsion to Swing" and "Music for the Weaker Sex." His orchestra backed some of the well-known singers of the day, including Gogi Grant and Jules Farmer. Rene also worked as a producer with Harry Belafonte on his "Calypso" album.
