The petite blond actress appeared in such film classics as "Gone with the Wind," "Lost Horizon," "Tale of Two Cities" and "Northwest Passage."

After the 1940s, Jewell made infrequent movie and television appearances. Her last film was "Sweet Kill," which was released in 1973.
