Marie Doro was a Broadway and early silent movie star who first won film recognition in the 1915 movie “The Morals of Marcus.”

In 1914, she was summoned “by command” to play in “Diplomacy” before the Queen of England at Windsor Castle.

She was married to actor Eliott Dexter at one time, but the marriage ended in divorce.
