Homicide Report: January 10 to January 17
Coroner's officials reported 15 killings in Los Angeles County between January 10 and Monday evening, bringing the year-to-date total to 27, according to data collected for The Times' Homicide Report database. Countywide homicide rates still remain lower than in previous years: There were 28 killings during the same period last year, 36 in 2009 and 40 in 2008.
