Aaron Garcia, a 21-year-old Latino, was shot in the 700 block of East 99th Street about 11:30 pm. Saturday, Aug. 17. Garcia was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The Los Angeles Police Department said Garcia had walked out of his home and was walking on the sidewalk when a man approached and shot him. Authorities did not have a description of the suspect, nor was there a motive for the shooting.
