Abel Garcia, a 19-year-old Latino man, died after he was shot multiple times in the 500 block of South St. Louis Street of Boyle Heights shortly before midnight Sunday, Nov. 16, 2008, according to authorities.
Witness told police that Garcia was shot by someone driving a white car, said Sgt. Ruby Malachi, a spokeswoman for the Los Angeles Police Department. The shooting took place about a minute after another Latino man in the same block, George Ramirez, 20, was shot multiple times and killed when a black Cadillac drove by his garage.
