Died Oct. 14, 2010

Adrien Moore, a 19-year-old black man, was fatally shot Thursday, Oct. 14, near 103rd Street and Towne Avenue in Green Meadows, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Moore was walking about 10:45 a.m. when someone approached on foot and shot him, said Ed Winter, spokesman for the coroner's office.

Paramedics were called and Moore was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead at 11:23 a.m., Winter said. According to coroner’s records, Moore died from a gunshot wound to the chest.

Los Angeles Police Criminal Gang & Homicide Det. M. Dixon said although there have been no arrests, authorities are actively investigating the case.

Witnesses described the shooter as a black man, 18 to 25 years old.

my son was the best soon any parent could ask for. yea, we had our ups and downs but none compare to the times memories, laughter we share. my son was taken away from me on this terrible day by someone who obviously doesnt care about taking someones elses life. I love you son and i this day is in my heart stil like yesterday. i miss you so much the crime against you is still uncovered but not forgotten. And i promise you that i will work as hard aS I CAN to make sure the perpertrator is bought to justice. i love you adrien................
