Afgan Kahn, 18

Died Dec. 29, 2008 at 2:50 p.m.

Afgan Kahn, an 18-year-old white man, was shot and killed Monday, Dec. 29, at 4167 W. 161st St. in Lawndale, according to the Los Angeles County coroner.

Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies said that Kahn and a juvenile were standing in a driveway at the location shortly after 2:30 p.m. when a light-colored vehicle drove up and a passenger began firing at the pair.

Kahn was struck in the chest and pronounced dead at the scene. The juvenile, whose name was not released, was hit in the lower body and was taken to a hospital in stable condition.
