Perhaps the homicide blog editors can follow up on the suspect who was charged. What happened to him? Was he charged as an adult?

The 17 year old was charged as an adult and sentenced to 25 years to life. The victim's family and friends will never get their son/brother/friend back, unfair trade. My sincere condolenses.

An 18 year old Latino's life is only worth 25 years.

And society has to pay for the murderer's incarceration.
