Alfonso Garcia, a 26-year-old Latino, died Monday, June 13, a day after he was shot in the 300 block of Newland Street in Highland Park, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.
The attack occurred about 7:45 p.m. Sunday, the LAPD said.
Garcia was shot once in the head, coroner's records show. After the incident, he was taken to a hospital where he remained on life support until his death the next day at 2:30 p.m.
