Alice Whiting, a 32-year-old black woman, was shot and killed Monday, Dec. 3, in the 4500 block of West Slauson Avenue in View Park-Windsor Hills, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.
Ed Winter, spokesman for the coroner's office, said Whiting was in a car about 1:30 a.m. when a vehicle drove up alongside her and the occupant opened fire.
Authorities were called, and the victim was taken to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead at 2:03 a.m. Whiting suffered several gunshot wounds to her body.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the sheriff's homicide bureau at (323) 890-5500. Tipsters wishing to remain anonymous can call Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-8477.

Damnnn...Sixtys been getting the biz this year..back 2 back..I been hearing about them taking losses more them giving them..Smh the real bangers of the 80's and 90's would have never let that happend..People soft these days..What ashame

She was an inncoent victim, the driver was the target. some Pasadena cat either from or involved with some Denver Lane's from out there. They tracked him down in L.A. and had nothing to do with any local gangs, it was just in our neighborhood

Alice was a beautiful mother of two children. A hard working woman that was not involved in no type of gang activity. She did not desirve what happened to her. Those cowards that did this need to be caught and brought to justice. These bustas so scary they always end up killing the innocent. They to scraed to make sure they get they man so they shot while moving and 9 out of 10 times never get they target. REST IN PARADISE "SWEET AL" we miss you and love you. Your smile will never be forgotten.

My cousin didn't deserve to leave this earth like she did. I hope and pray whoever did this or has info please come forward. She left behind to many loved ones who are now so torn apart. Her mom ,and sisters ,children and extended family. And for the record all that gang talk keep it of this page. She wasn't into that stuff too pretty for all of that. Love you cousin just wish you could've heard me say it sooner.
