Alton Mixon

Alton Mixon, a 51-year-old black man, was stabbed to death Monday, Sept. 28, in his house in the 14100 block of South Albertson Avenue in an area of unincorporated Los Angeles County surrounded by Compton, according to coroner's officials.

Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Sgt. Mitch Loman said Mixon was fatally stabbed during an argument with his brother Joe Mixon, 47. Sheriff's deputies arrested Joe Mixon the same day. He has been charged with his brother's murder and pleaded not guilty at his arraignment last week. His bail has been set at $1 million, and he is scheduled for a preliminary hearing Oct. 15.

Loman said the stabbing happened about 4 p.m., and Alton Mixon was pronounced at the scene just minutes later.

Alton aka Ackie and Joe Mixon are both my close cousins,I do not agree with the situation that happened and no matter what may be I love them both and miss them both, they always had my back when ever I needed them. I pray Joe finds the peace in his heart he was looking for and realize the wrong he has done.
I miss Ackie so much, we used to party, cook, shop, dance and clown each other all the time.I am glad I had the chance to throw him a birthday dinner and do small things for him and show him my unconditonal love like family is suposed to. My heart is so heavy and I cant beleive he is gone. I love u BirdBrain lol, R.I.P. loved one. And as usual I Thank U 4 everything. Tamika

It's been almost a year and I still remember it like yesterday. The situation was very horrible and unfortunant for all the family to witness. It's very hard knowing that my father commited an act of violence against my uncle but I still love them both equally inspite of the situation. The family lost two people that day and we all miss them both.

it's been over a year you been gone, i still think about the good times we had together. i hope you have found peace where your at, i know it was hell down here for you, you would talk about the drama you were going thru down here... Ackie you don't have to worry about it anymore... as for as i know Joey is still in the hospital for the criminally insane, he will never hurt anyone else in your family again... i alway's wondered what made him to such awful thing like that to his own brother, you guys was so close i thought, i did see some anger in him toward you at times i never thought he would take your life.. the worest is over you cant fill those awful pain he put on you.... R I P Ackie love you!!!
