Amado Lozano Jr., a 28-year-old Latino, was shot and killed Tuesday, May 31, in the 2600 block of South Alma Street in San Pedro, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.
Lozano was found dead in his apartment, officials said. Coroner's records show he had an apparent gunshot wound to the head, as well as a ripped black plastic bag loose around his neck.
After the grim discovery, a Los Angeles Police Department special-weapons team searched a nearby home looking for a suspect.
The LAPD’s Robbery-Homicide Division arrested Crystal Rose Lozano, a 30-year-old white woman, on Wednesday in connection with the homicide. She is being held at the Century Regional Detention Center in Lynwood on no bail.
According to authorities, Amado and Crystal Lozano had divorced several years ago.
A man also was in custody in connection with the slaying. Police records identify him as Wilson Lopez, a 21-year-old Latino.
