Anel Juarez, a 37-year-old Latina, was shot and killed Tuesday, April 13, in the 12200 block of Gault Street in North Hollywood, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.
Police responded to a call of shots fired about 10 p.m., said Det. Steve Castro of the Los Angeles Police Department, who is handling the investigation.
Officers found Juarez, a San Fernando Valley resident, shot to death in the driver's seat of her car. She was pronounced dead at the scene at 10:09 p.m., according to coroner's records.
Investigators are still trying to determine what led to the shooting and are following up on several leads, Castro said.

Anel was a very nice girl. I had the pleasure to have known her. This was a very huge shock for me and people who knew her. She defenetly did not deserve it!!

I cant belive it, its sureal for me..
Anel was my roommate five years ago. I can only say good things about her...
I have been thinking about her and her sisters every day for five years..
Now i will never forget about her...
My thoughts goes to her family....

She was shot in her drivers seat? Was it a case of road rage? Maybe she saw someone she had issues with while driving down the road....maybe she was the victim of a robbery?

It has been almost a full year since you've been gone, but your presence is still with us and will remain forever. You were a great friend and I will always cherish the memories when we were roomies. Wherever you are I want you to know that we miss you dearly and from heaven please pray for all of us that remain in this harsh world.

Anel is almost gonna be 2 years that ur life was snatched n left ur loved ones. I know ur in a better place, a place were u can't get hurt but then yet again left ur kids that need u the most. I can only imagine how much baby Damian misses u n need u. I still can't believe ur actually gone.
