Angel Bautista, 20, a Latino young man, was shot in the torso and head at 2051 W. Pico Boulevard in the Mid-City area, and died at 10:56 p.m.
Bautista was standing in front of a market on Pico. A Latino man or youth, or more than one, came up in a car and confronted him—"a where-you-from? type thing," said LAPD Rampart Det. Fred Faustino—and shot him.
