Angelo Ortuno, 21

Died Oct. 18, 2012

Angelo Ortuno, identified by the coroner's office as a 21-year-old white man, was shot and killed Thursday, Oct. 18, in the 9500 block of California Avenue in South Gate, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Ed Winter, spokesman for the coroner's office, said Ortuno's body was discovered in a parking lot about 4:19 a.m. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

It appears the victim's body was dumped in the area, Winter said.

Preliminary coroner's records show Ortuno was shot in the head and he may have also been run over.

Anyone with information about the killing is asked to contact the sheriff's homicide bureau at (323) 890-5500. Those wishing to remain anonymous can call Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-8477.

I love little brother, I remember telling you every thing will be fine and you would find the peace you sought after so much, I new I lost you when Bella ended up in the hospital, I just couldn't let you go my brother..I wish I can still hug you and get mad at you over the thing you where doing, but WE NEVER  gave you enough credit over what happened and how lonely you must of felt, that's my regret Bighead I should of loved you more instead of always giving you a lecture, you see now I got the big picture!!!! You let this happen my baby boy I know you did. God is merciful baby brother and i know he couldn't stand your sadness any more because he HAS bigger plans for you up there!  my sadness will always be here until we meet again for now I know you are with our maker and that gives me the strength to understand and be happy for you.  I wake up at 3 or 4 in the morning wondering If there was anything I could of done? My answer was no my baby brother, I can NOT question GODS plans..I'm a very proud of you Angelo you accomplished a lot in the little time we had you but WE all love you and I will take care of baby Angelo and baby Christopher and remind them of there father and mother, I will always miss the words “whats up my sister” and you giving me a hug..
