Armando Garcia, 32, a Latino man, was shot in the abdomen at 5937 Middleton St. in Huntington Park on Feb. 15, in a shooting that also killed his brother. Armando Garcia died at a hospital at 5:05 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 7, after lingering six months.
Garcia and his brother Gilberto Garcia, 33, were sitting in a car when gunmen drove or walked up and opened fire, said Sgt. John Navarette of the Huntington Park Police Department. Gilberto died shortly afterward, but Armando remained hospitalized. The case is now a double homicide.
