Benjamin Jackson, 29

Died Jan. 17, 2011

Benjamin Jackson, a 29-year-old black man, died Monday, Jan. 17, hours after he was stabbed in the 800 block of East 97th Street in Green Meadows, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Jackson was killed in a domestic violence incident, said LAPD Criminal Gang and Homicide Det. Ernie Mendoza, who is handling the case.

Authorities say Jackson's girlfriend, Nicole McDonald, stabbed him Jan. 16 about 11:40 p.m. However, there were no witnesses to stabbing.

Jackson sought assistance from authorities and was taken to Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, where he died from his wounds at 4:35 a.m., according to coroner's records.

McDonald, a 31-year-old black woman, was arrested later that day and is being held in lieu of $1-million at the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood.

Anyone with additional information about the killing is asked to contact Det. Mendoza at (213) 485-4341. Those who would like to remain anonymous can call Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-8477.

fam, cr leg, obviously your gang being 4 ever didn't apply to the victim nor the victim's father.

Where is the outcry against blacks who kill other blacks? The number killed by police is insignificant by comparison. Take this case: she didn't have to kill him - she could have used pepper spray, or rubber bullets, or three of her friends, and just subdued him.

It would be very interesting to know where in the heck would she have gotten Rubber Bullets from to shot him if he was in the act of abusing her?, and the only people I know who get them would be the Police. Interesting....Hmmmm!!
