Bogar Payan, a 37-year-old Latino, was found dead near the Whittier Narrows Dam in Montebello Sunday, Jan. 18, of a gunshot wound to the head, asphyxiation and burns, according to the Los Angeles County coroner.

Coroner's records did not include a date or time of death for Payan.
