Man,They said in the press-telegram that this kid was an active gangmember.I feel sad for him & his family,but the reality of it is..thats the price you pay for being in a gang.I hope other youngsters could learn from this & stay out of gangs.

A 15 year old (Mao Eng) was gunned down a couple of weeks ago not to far from here. I wonder if this was retaliation?

I really hope these kids will be a little more cautious, and vigilant of their surroundings during this summer, because this is the time of year these low-life thugs really love to prey on the innocent, like a shark in the ocean; They'll sneak up on you, and kill you for no reason; Like the cowards they are, but if they were real men they would fight with fist, instead of shooting kids they know they could beat. COWARDS!!!

This is sad. I was just reading about this young man, Mao Eng, and Travion Toller. All from Long Beach, all young, and all gang-related. I had a family member recently killed in LB and it still stings. We are killing off one another over nothing. Confirming stereotypes and making our own kind look bad. Just makes me sad. RIP to all 3 of them...

I've been reading these Homocide reports now for around a year & thought nothing could surprise me anymore until i saw the picture of this child, the kid looks to be about 10 years of age & he's getting mixed up in gang related mayhem. What kinda jungle do you Americans habitate.?!

The sad thing is, they do, but not for the reasons we would want them too; I believe they come here to see the hurt, and destruction they've caused; They're cowards, and they have no sympathy for anything, or anybody they hurt, or kill. Until California start sending them to death-row, and actually pulling the plug on these heartless, and evil predators, then will we see a change after we start getting rid of them, or if this country would do something about the immigration problem we have, and sending them back to where they came from to let their countries deal with them, because they feel they have to much freedom in the US that they really don't deserve like the immigrants that come here to work hard contribute to our society.

I grew up in North Long beach and this is exactly why I decided to move away before I started a family. There was no way I wanted to raise kids around this and reading some of these post I know I made the right decision. I'd rather raise military brats over having them being raised the way I was. Nobody deserves to die like this.
