Bryan Hollis

Bryan Hollis, 23, a black man, was shot in the head at 1465 E. 114th St. in Watts at about 11:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 27, and died at 12:10 a.m. Aug. 28 at St. Francis Medical Center in Lynwood.

Another victim of this shooting, a 34-year-old black man, remains hospitalized in critical condition.

Hollis was standing with a group of friends inside the Nickerson Gardens housing project when shooters, who police believe were black men or youths, walked up to the group and fired several times into the crowd, then ran.
