Died Aug. 17, 2011

Gutierrez, of Long Beach, was pronounced dead at the scene after officers responded to a call that shots had been fired near Linden Avenue and Pacific Coast Highway about 11:45 p.m. Tuesday.

Coroner’s records show Gutierrez was shot several times in the torso, left thigh and right leg.

Police initially said the shooting appeared to be gang-related, but they later said a motive and circumstances surrounding the incident remained unclear and an investigation was ongoing.

If we could have a lifetime wish
A dream that would come true,
We'd pray to God with all our hearts
For yesterday and You.
A thousand words can't bring you back
We know because we've tried...
Neither will a thousand tears
We know because we've cried...
You left behind our broken hearts
And happy memories too...
But we never wanted memories
We only wanted You.
