Bryant Tennelle

Bryant Tennelle, 18, a young black man, was shot in the head in front of 1858 W. 80th St. near St. Andrews Street in Los Angeles. The assailant walked up to Bryant and shot him. He was taken to a hospital, where he died at 9:30 p.m. Friday, May 11.

He was the son of the LAPD Robbery-Homicide detective. Police are asking anyone with information to call (213) 485-1383.

Update: This case has been solved. A 25-year-old black man, and a 16-year-old black youth, have been arrested and charged with the murder of Bryant Tennelle. They probably had no idea they were killing the son of a police officer. They both face trial. The arrests were the work of LAPD South Bureau Det. John Skaggs.

What was the disposition of this case? Were the two accused found guilty?

What was the motive?

-syscom3. You don't get it, do ya. The brother was in the wrong place at the wrong time when those animals went on the prowl.

My heart goes out to the family. There's so much violence going on and people don't seem to care, until it hits home then it's a problem'but it's a problem regardless. So many of our kids are dying and it seems like no one cares. We have to trust in the Lord with all our heart and lean not on our own understanding.

So does it matter he was the son of a police officer? Does that mean this case took on more importance than any other murder case because he was related to an LAPD member? It's very likely his LAPD father has shot and killed people in LA (under the excuse of his badge) so that is one giant hypocritical f*ck you. It should NOT matter who his father is. The LAPD makes me sick. A bunch of uneducated thugs who get what they deserve on the streets of LA. I am sorry this young man died, but him being the son of ANYBODY is what is important, not because his father is a f*cking cop.
