Byron Maldonado, a 20-year-old Latino, died Friday, Oct. 30, after he was shot in the 4300 block of Clinton Street in East Hollywood, authorities said.
Officers responded to a call of gunshots fired about 11:30 p.m. Oct. 29 at Alexandria Avenue and Clinton Street, said Lt. Darryl Ito. They found Maldonado with a gunshot wound in his chest. He was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Ito said one possible suspect was taken into custody overnight, but police are still seeking another suspect.

this was someone that meant a lot to me and to suddenly loose him to senseless violence breaks my heart. i will see you in heaven but meanwhile you watch over us! rest in peace.....
