Candice Altamirano, a 27-year-old Latina, was shot and killed Sunday, Dec. 2, in the 3700 block of Nicolet Avenue in Baldwin Hills/Crenshaw, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.
Ed Winter, spokesman for the coroner's office, said Altamirano was driving a car about 3:15 a.m. when an unknown person walked up and shot her.
The victim was taken to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead at 4:02 a.m.
[Updated Dec. 12: Homicide Det. Kenneth White, who is handling the investigation, said no arrests have been made. Investigators do not know if there is more than one suspect in connection with the killing.
White said the victim was discovered injured by her friends. She was not a gang member, he said.]

May i ask what gang she was from..More then likely the ms13's did this being 2 things they are in the jungles now.. 2.it being this was at 3:15 in the morning ,meaning they was on g funk or something.Smh..

Ok so she wasn't a gang member but she was in the street at 3:15 in the morning?..The only people out at that time is street walkers (pros),gang members,tweekers and people trying to rob.So which one was she?

She was a 27 year old female driving in her car. I would think at 3:15 she may have been enjoying an evening out as thousands of young Americans do every night of the week. Blaming the victim and prejudging her lifestyle is foolish.

I knew her and she was not involved in any of the things mentioned above. She was a nice sweet innocent girl who was in the wrong place at the wrong time. You two should keep your assumptions to yourself because you didn't even know her.

Candice was the sweetest and kind person you could ever know. She didn't deserve this at all, may god keep her in heaven as an Angel she has always been with the people around her... We shall miss you girl.

I used to live on Nicolet, MS 13 and ! faketeen ST are going at it with the Bloods , most likely she was driving too slow, probably looking for parking space. I wonder if she was confused by a gang menber . Latinos i don't understand why you people live in that area is infested with black gangs . I lived there for one month even though the rent was cheap it is not worth it!!! pack ur Shht and move!! ASAP!!!

Candice was the most beautiful and sweetest soul i have ever met, her presence was always graceful/delightful, i had the privelege of knowing her, and i will deeply miss her. it leaves a great void in my life, but i will fill it with her smiles, laughs, and love. p.s. and as for ""walking night light"' who or what ever you are? No matter what you do in life you will always be Garbage!...

When the fuk has ms13 been in jungles? Most residents in that area especially nicolet st do not approve of any Mexican gangs in the area.. Bps is a known racist gang.. It's no fly zone for ms13 or any Hispanic gang for that area.. It's racial they have been beefing with 18st for decades

-Fiasco,i live on Nicolet ande heard the shots that night and saw the person running and they were not black! before anyone even found her out side in her car atleast 10 to 15 mins went by. Its a shame this happened and actually sounded like whoever was shooting really wanted her dead. police have all the details. i wouldnt be surprised if the shooter was a female judging by their strange run. RIP to this young woman.
