Carlos Diaz, a 26-year-old Latino was shot and killed on Monday, Feb. 15 in the 200 block of West Caldwell Street in Compton, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Sheriff's detectives were at the scene following the shooting, which took place about 5 p.m., looking for evidence in the slaying, according to Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department officials.
