Carlos Lajobech, a 32-year-old Latino, was fatally shot Saturday, Dec. 17, in the 6000 block of Gotham Street in Bell Gardens, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.
Lajobech was standing outside a party with another man when a suspect walked up and shot them both “without provocation” in the upper torso about 9:08 p.m.
The two victims were taken to a hospital where Lajobech was pronounced dead. The second victim, a 24-year-old man, was in critical but stable condition.
