Cary Morton Jr., an 18-year-old black man, was shot and killed Wednesday, June 15, in the 1700 block of North Graham Avenue in Compton, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.
Ed Winter, spokesman for the coroner's office, said Morton was the victim of a walk-up shooting.
He was shot at 9:21 a.m. and was taken to the hospital where he died at 10 a.m.
