Celestina Morando, an 18-year-old Latina, was shot in a possible murder-suicide on Thursday, March 12, 2009, in the 700 block of South Ditman Avenue in East Los Angeles, according to the Los Angeles County coroner's office.
Police suspect Oscar Morales, 36, in the killing. According to police records, Morales shot and killed Morando then himself.

she was a wonderful girl with such a difficult life there yet still manage to be strong and keep going to school just to accomplish her dream... i love her and i miss her so much

So sad, i was shocked and couldn't believe this beautiful girl was gone! i knew her back in school and i never thought this could happen. rest in paradise. i hope your in a better place now we werent close or anything i knew her thru one of my friends...but to learn someone you once knew is gone its very sad and hard to accept.

I am currently living here where the murdet took place and I have to admit that sometimes I feel her spirit.... I also hear a females voice telling me something but I cant understand...

I knew celestina since H.S. she was a nice sweet smart girl, she was gonna be something and most likely make a difference. I had strong feeling for her but we never happen. I found out what happen months later.

She was such a beautiful young woman with her entire life in front of her. What a shame. East Los Angeles is a tough place and getting out is easier said then done.
