Chester Warfield, an 82-year-old black man, died Saturday, Sept. 12. after collapsing at his home in the 1000 block of South Rimpau Boulevard in Mid-Wilshire.
[Updated Sept. 25: Coroner's investigators have deferred Warfield's cause of death pending further tests. Authorities said Warfield collapsed after getting into an argument with someone on his porch, but did not appear to have been injured by that person.]
