Ching Tseng

Ching Tseng, a 35-year-old Korean man, was shot and robbed in the 3300 block of West 6th Street in Koreatown and died Saturday, August 22, according to an LAPD news release.

He was approached by a man described by police as a 25-year-old Latino at about 6 a.m.

"The suspect demanded Tseng's money and vehicle, then shot Tseng and fled to a waiting car with three additional suspects, two males and one female," the news release read.

Tseng was given emergency surgery, but died at a hospital a short time later, police said. Detectives believe the motive for the killing is robbery.
