Christopher Andrew Flores, 17
Died Sept. 24, 2012
Christopher Andrew Flores, a 17-year-old Latino, was shot and killed Monday, Sept. 24, in the 38100 block of Boxthorn Street in Palmdale, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
An apparent feud between families led to the shooting death of Christopher Flores, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said in a statement.
Deputies responding to a call about an assault with a deadly weapon found the male teenager with multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at a hospital.
After the incident, Victor Flores, a 36-year-old Latino, was booked on suspicion of murder at the Palmdale sheriff’s station.
He is being held in lieu of $2.205-million bail at the North County Correctional Facility in Castaic. His next court appearance is scheduled for Oct. 15.
Anyone with more information about the shooting is asked to contact the L.A. County sheriff's homicide bureau at (323) 890-5500. Those wishing to remain anonymous can call Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-8477.

L.A. Times - You are missing the entire week of Sept. 17 - Sept. 24. Unless, there were no homicides for that whole week, which would be very unbelievable!

— 7.62 .... your words are falling on deaf ears. For Cholo and his band of sociopaths, the abnormal violent lifestyle they espouse is what's "normal" for them.
And they wonder why most people look down at them with disgust.

@Cholo ... I'm sorry to tell you this , but your Friend was NOT a good kid, this kid went looking for trouble, and found it. This kid will wait with all his "Homies" outside the house of Victor Flores while he was at work , they will terrorized his smaller children they also jumped, his 14 year old Daughter, this kid along with his Mother went to Mr. Flores house and destroyed certain things around his house, That is the reason why Mr. Flores went out of his way and wasted a lot of money, installing cameras all over his house , the Wife had called the Police many times but Police never did anything regarding this. This kid bothered this Family for a whole year and , this kid was up to no good, he went to this Man's house trying to intimidate his Family and for his surprise this is what he found himself with. You gangsters need to watch out who you trying to intimidate cause you can be up for a big surprise.
Christopher Andrew Flores and Victor Flores are not related , they just have the same last name this two we're both Neighbors .

@Syscom3 yeah your right, I like to humor these gang banging idiots.

Well, this is why we have trial-by-jury and we will soon see the outcome. Hopefully he is acquitted of all charges and reunited with his family.

Wow ! what happen that lead Victor Flores to murdered Christopher Andrew Flores ?
Sounds like this kid wanted to be tough and found trouble . I seen the picture of Christopher Andrew Flores and he sure looks like he was involved in gangs he does not look like a good kid . Good kids don't dress like that. All baggy.

Well Apple, Christopher was robbed of his potential, shot down before he reached his prime gangsta years. He was only an apprentice gangsta, a trainee, so to speak. As you can see from the above, he was successful in terrorizing little kids and 14 year old girls, but his real dream was to terrorize older adult males. We think he was too impatient, to eager to advance. We counciled patience, but nothing could hold Chris back. Yes, he had the gangsta clothes and mannerisms down pat, he liked rap, but he just didn't have that "it" that would make him a good gansta. Not yet anyways. This is going to look bad on our report. At least his mother has good memories of trashing the neighbor's house with him. She blames us. Wants to know where WE went wrong. We told her, you don't commit crimes with your male kids after the age of 12, it slows down their growth, but she still blames us. Look, it's not like we're working with Harvard material here. Hell, I'm surprised the kid made it out of elementary school. The bottom line - The kid screwed up. But we'll take the blame. You win some, you lose some. But like all of his homies, we will never forget Chris. At least for 7 or 8 months. RIP Chris. You died too young.

I myself live right next to the incident … and after I seen this and have known more about this situation , I think I would of done the same ever since this incident occurred > I have bought myself a big toy (GUN) with a permit and everything , I am not going to let this wanna b thugs terrorized my community or my Family so , If I feel that my Family and I, are in danger … I will sure use it and won’t think about it twice , so if they even try to step in my property and start trouble they better think about it… cause I won’t hesitate < on using it. Think before you go looking for trouble and for all those neighbors that live around here should do the same out of protection . We can't be letting this thugs terrorize our community or other neighbors (Neighborhood Watch) This kids are no ANGELS … I'm a neighbor I know … And I personally spoke a couple of times with Mr Flores … and this Man is a good Man what ever lead Mr. Flores to do this he had enough already … Mr. Flores felt he was in danger to see this kid walking towards his house with the brother walking in the back … Is easy for people to say call the cops , The cops we're called many times but never did nothing. So < If I see this happening I wouldn't have any choice either but to do the same as Mr. Flores , I hope justice is serve and Mr Flores can walk back in the streets as a FREE MAN again. What ever he did, it was in self-defense and out protection towards his Family. Is tough but we need to accept it Christopher Flores was NOT a good kid … Maybe he was to his Family and Fellow Friends but not to the Neighbors. Right know is a little calm, and as a Concern Neighbor I hope it stays that way.

i am proud and happy to be a gangster is the best feeling being in a gang we get all the love we get love and respect nobody messes with us is up to us if we want to go to school thats right carnal
Dec. 22, 2012 at 4:20 p.m.
I am totally amazed at the stupid comments that these young so called " gangsters" make. Being a gangster is why Christopher is where he is. I'm do glad I live so far away from this kind of life, I couldn't even amagine having my kids grow up in this kind of environment. The young people need to wake up and finish school and stop this GANGSTER crap. There's so much more to life.

@Cholo, if people respected you and your gang your homie would still be alive , because your rivals would be too afraid to kill members of your gang, but they're capping your homies left and right, I don't know about you but that doesn't look like respect. They're smashing you idiots like bugs, you mention people have love for you, I doubt it beause when the S**T hits the fan and bullets start flying your homies are the first to run and hide, if people have love for you they would advise you to leave the gangbanging life, your just another number, a dime a dozen, that's how much respect your homies have for you, if you keep thinking the way you do, you'll end up in the homicide report sooner or later.
Dec. 23, 2012 at 3:30 p.m.
@Richie, I like your comment lol University of lowlife gangsters, I think the reason these idiot gangbangers keep gangbanging, because they think it won't happen to them. He had a short lived career, he took a early retirement. I guess if someone is looking for early retirement should join a gang. @Cholo you'll end up on the next homicide report if you continue on that path, I hope your homies gave you a coffin right after you joined the gang beause your going need it.
Dec. 23, 2012 at 9:12 p.m.
@ concern neighbor- It was not wise of you to publicly post your aspirations to commit a serious crime regardless if you feel it would be justified or not. It was also not a smart move to post where you are located. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out where "right next to the incident" is especially when Victor Flores lived on the corner house. Don't speak about it be about it.
Dec. 24, 2012 at 7:57 a.m.
@Think B4U Blog ... I do think before I blog and their is nothing for me to be afraid of , I am not speaking but I sure am typing and I am about it , and hopefully the Police removes all this idiots from this neighborhood maybe your one of them. Since you got offended moron .

— 7.62, I disagree with your statement. While growing up in Boyle Heights, which happens to be infested with gangs, I heard many gang members acknowledging they will die for their gang. Don't get it twisted, I didn't and don't agree with it, but I'm able to recognize their state of mind.
Dec. 26, 2012 at 9:38 a.m.
— Debbie, so if you live so far away why are you so concern what's going on in these neighborhoods? By reading these tragedies does it make it you feel better and superior? Does it justify your long commute from and to work and pretty much don't have a life?
Dec. 26, 2012 at 9:51 a.m.
— Jag, if Debbie pays taxes, then she has every right to comment on what happens in these neighborhoods.
And what sane and rational parent would want to live in those killing field neighborhoods?
Dec. 26, 2012 at 6:03 p.m.
You people keep talking about he got killed because he was in a gang , this murder had nothing to do with gangs , yes he was affiliated with gangs but he got killed by a normal resident just like you and me , he went looking for trouble and mess with the wrong person , the person that killed him was a normal dude who will take care of his family and just like they said up there ^^ he got fed up this kid Christopher Flores along with four of his friends jumped his 14 year old daughter they even send her to the hospital. And this kid and his friends never went to jail cause of it . So stop saying this was gang related cause it has nothing to do with gangs he just messed with the wrong man that's it .

No controversy should exist here at all:
A “coward”, parolee, idiot and brain-less was gunned-down by a “BRAVE” father who tried to protec his Family from this
Evil.
He should be eligible to receive the “Medal of Honor” from the City of Palmdale, or even build a statue of the “Brave” father at any of the shopping centers located at the intersection of Avenue “R” and 47th. St.
I hope this stop the controversy
Dec. 26, 2012 at 9:34 p.m.
@Jag you'll get no argument from me, I know my statements won't change their state of mind, I like to humor these idiots

— syscom3
'Jag' still lives in those killing fields. Being upset because a citizen is concerned about gang-infested neighborhoods can only mean he's a gang sympathizer.
Dec. 27, 2012 at 1:05 p.m.
This could be a self defense case, but if the shooter empty out the whole magazine into the suspect its going to be hard to prove self defense especially if the suspect wasn't armed, but knowing these idiot gang bangers he most likely had a weapon, 1 down and a few more to go, it's time we start shooting back.
Dec. 27, 2012 at 4:58 p.m.
Well he did shot him 7 times
Dec. 27, 2012 at 11:17 p.m.
7.62...do you really want to sound this ridiculously dumb putting people down when your screen name is the caliber of a bullet? SMART MOVE.

— Meck, i lived in Boyle Heights in the late 80s thru the early 90s and the homicide rate was higher than it is today. I lived on Breed Street where many of my neighbors my age join Breed Street Gang. Unlike you and Syscom3 I was able to help some of these guys leave the gang life style behind by simply assisting them on getting ligitimate jobs. Some went back to the gang life style and others walked away from it. If that makes me an enabler or sympathizer than I guess I am. Let me clear I don't support crime in particular murderers. I happened to see the human side of these gangsters and some actually are good hearted people who get pulled into the gang life style due to peer pressure, broken family, protection, make money illegally and many more. I hate to burst your buble, but as Syscom3 claims I sleep pretty comfortable at night and I can take a walk my neighborhood at anytime without having to worry about getting robbed or killed. By comparison my neighborhood is better than Downey if you must know.
