Christopher Herrera, 18

Christopher Herrera, an 18-year-old Latino, was shot in the chest and killed on Saturday, May 23, in the 700 block of South Normandie Avenue in Koreatown, according to the Los Angeles County coroner's office.

Los Angeles Police Department officials said the killing was gang-related.

Herrera was walking with a friend, a 16-year-old girl, when a car pulled up and someone fired off several shots, according to the LAPD. Both Herrera and the girl were hit. The girl, who was not named, underwent surgery for her injuries and survived, police said.

Authorities said the only information available about the shooter and occupants of the car is that they were Latino.

I have seen this guy and live a few apt away from were he died this is a gang infested area its very sad how this young guys can set them sselfs up by being gangsters they would always be hanging outside it does not surprice me :(
