Christopher Davon Payne, 24, a young black man, was shot to death near the intersection of 142nd Street and Eadall Avenue about 2:25 a.m. in South Los Angeles Saturday, July 5. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Payne was tossing a football with his brother when two men inside a truck pulled up. Then a man exited the truck and shot Payne, according to Homicide Det. Joe Sheehy of the L.A.
