Conrado Santos, a 38-year-old Latino, was fatally shot Monday, Aug. 16, in the 15000 block of Gale Avenue in Hacienda Heights, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.
Santos was in his residence about 8:50 p.m. when someone entered the home, said Ed Winter, spokesman for the coroner's office.
While Santos exited the back door, he was shot, Winter said. Authorities were called and he was pronounced dead at the scene. It was not clear from information available to the coroner whether Santos knew the assailant.
Sheriff's homicide Det. Steve Blagg, who is handling the case, referred questions to a department spokesperson, refusing to comment on the coroner's description of the incident. Blagg said no arrest has been made in connection with Santos' death.

Omar was a real nice guy whom i had the pleasure of meeting on a few ocassions, He was my Brothers Dirt Bike riding buddy.Did not deserve to die in such a brutal way, Killed by Cowards.

Omar was my brother. He was an amazing brother, son, and FATHER. He left three beautiful childern. My brother was the nicest guy. I dont ever remember him being mad at anyone or anything. RIP BROTHER YOU WILL NEVE BE FORGOTTEN AND WILL FOREVER LIVE IN OUR HEARTS!!!

I'am very sad to Hear that my friend from H.S.--Omar"Chubby" was shoot and Killed---a group of us hung out all the time in H.S.--he always had a smile on his face--it will be missed--- all ur brothers will truely miss u--RIP-Chubby

Omar "Chubby " was a wonder man and a very loving friend, he always helped out his friends. He was a very close friend of my family and he did not deserve to die the way he did. We love you and may you R.I.P.
