Curtis Mann, a 25-year-old Latino, was shot and killed Wednesday, June 15, in the 400 block of North Coronado Street in Westlake, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Firefighters responded after gunfire broke out at 3:11 p.m. Authorities found Mann, who had been struck by multiple rounds, the Los Angeles Police Department said.

Mann was taken to a hospital where he died at 3:41 p.m.

Investigators do not have a motive for the shooting.

Since January 2007, at least 96 homicides have been reported within two miles of the shooting scene, according to a Times Homicide Report database.
