Dana Grays Jr., 27, a black man, was shot multiple times at 2619 Imperial Highway in Inglewood and died at 7:11 p.m. Thursday, April 5. Inglewood police officers responding to a call of a shooting victim found him lying in the middle of the road. Two men or youths were seen running from the scene. According to his mother, Grays, "was a man that loved and took part in raising his children."

Dana Kelvin Grays Jr. Was a great person to be around, he kept everybody smiling when he was in their presence. He was a devoted father, brother, and son to the Grays family. Dana loved to be around his family and friends especially when it was a family get together/ barbeque, he actually was the one to prepare the barbeque because he was the best at it! He was an intelligent person, he picked up on everything you threw his way and that's what I loved about him, he was very handy and new how to do any project you presented to him! He was my best friend/ boyfriend and though we had rocky times in our relationship which caused us to part,you will always have a place in my heart. I love and miss you Dana may you rest in peace. Love always Sakiena....
