Daniel Mercado, 23, a Latino man, was shot multiple times, at 12712 Paxton St., and died at 5:14 p.m. Thursday, May 3.
This case was a car-to-car shooting that triggered a three-car crash in the 12700 block of Paxton Street in Pacoima in LAPD's Foothill Division just before 5 p.m. Two guns were recovered from the scene. Officers received a call of shots fired, and found the crashed cars. Everyone who had been in the vehicles had fled, except Mercado, who was left wounded behind the wheel of one of the cars. He later died at Holy Cross Medical Center.

No one was in the car with him ... It was a suspect car, a parked car, and Daniel's car ... the suspects were the ones that fled - Danny was alone...
