Daniel Williams, an 18-year-old black man, died Saturday, Oct. 15, two days after he was shot near Pico Boulevard and Bonnie Brae Street in Pico-Union, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.
Ed Winter, spokesman for the coroner's office, said Williams was shot Oct. 13. The victim was taken to a hospital where he died two days later at 2 p.m.
Coroner's records show Williams died from a single gunshot wound to the head.
Winter had no other information about the killing.

My cousin Daniel was only 18. He still had his whole life ahead of him. But someone so heartless stole his life. My family will never be the same. He is leaving behind lots of family members, friends, a wife and most importantly, a beautiful baby daughter. Imagine how her life is going to be? Who is going to be there to walk her down the aisle on the day of her wedding? Even though he is not physically with us here on Earth, his spirit will live on in our hearts. I love you Daniel. I am going to miss you, but now I know that your 2nd cousins will have one extra angel looking out for them!
