David Valle, a 17-year-old Latino, was shot and killed Sunday, March 6, in the 8300 block of North Willis Avenue in Panorama City, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Ed Winter, spokesman for the coroner's office, said Valle was walking up the street when he was shot about 8:30 p.m.
Paramedics were called and the victim was taken to a hospital in Mission Hills where he was pronounced dead less than 30 minutes later.

LRM, the hospital that's one block away may have not had the capacitity or expertise to handle gun shot wounds. Or who knows, maybe this hospital only admits insured people. You know how messed up our health insurance is. That's why we need health care for EVERYONE!

We agree also they should of token him to the nearest hospital no matter what kind of insurance it was i dont think that was fear he was a wonderful young man just living his life he hade more to live especialy his big bright smile

To my brother/david i will always miss u and think of u and all of the good times we had. And make sure my darla will now about u and how much u love her and wanted to be there for her.always going to be part of are family. I now u r safe now and happy and miss us to and u did not want to go.
