how does a murder occur in a secure hospital ward at Pacifica Hospital of the Valley? and no one discusses it to protect the hospital.

I am wondering the same thing as you, Joe. This is the first I hear of this story. It is a shame that the media picks and choose what we should and should not know. We have the right to know and they have the duty to report it.

My condolences to the family who has lost their loved one.

Please help me understand how this happen and why? Why has the hospital not accepted any responsiblity or even offer any condolences. The hospital is Pacifica Hospital of the Valley, in Sun Valley, Ca. Why did it take 12 hours to notify the family?
Dean needs to be remember as a person, and the damn system needs to have some compassion.

Dear Family of Dean Camacho.
I am sorry for your loss and would like to extend my condolences to you. You need to get in contact with a Good wrongful death and malpractice attorney. It was kept out of the news because you would have had attorneys coming to you. The hospital is not going to talk to you because they know that you have a case. They are hoping you will go away. See if you can get your relatives or family friends to help you look for the best qualified lawyer. It won't bring your love one back but it will do 2 things. If you hit them in the pocket it will make them be more accountable to other patients. It will make them pay monetary damages for their neglect in the loss of your love one. Please do not delay.

We had this patient. He attacked almost every staff member. Had 2 security on him 24 hours a day. A real sociopath.

I worked on that unit, sharp objects can be pencils, markers, a vistor could of left the person with a ink pen or they could of lifted it. My question would be did the staff see it coming? there had to be telltale signs of trouble

I am shocked and sadden by this news. Dean was my cousin. Our mothers were sisters and looked so much alike. Deans mother Lorraine passed away on Aug 17, 2003 and at the service was the last time I saw Dean. I send my love to his family especially father and brother.

Dean was my cousin. He had a smile that would fill a room. He is missed at our family gatherings but not in our hearts.
