Donald Demond Hoskins, a 31-year-old black man, was mortally wounded and another man was critically injured after they were shot outside of a burger stand at 953 W. Florence Ave. in South L.A. about 1 a.m. Tuesday, April 8.
According to police, the men were approached by one or more assailants on foot. Authorities said both men were taken by ambulance to hospitals. Hoskins was later pronounced dead at California Hospital Medical Center, according to LAPD spokeswoman Ana Aguirre.
