Donnell Taylor

Donnell Taylor, a 47-year-old black man, was fatally shot Wednesday, Jan. 19, in the 1700 block of Summit Avenue in Pasadena, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Officers received a radio call regarding shots fired about 8:08 p.m., according to a Pasadena Police Department news release.

When authorities arrived, they found Taylor shot. He was taken my paramedics to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead. According to coroner's records, Taylor died from several gunshot wounds.

During the investigation, detectives learned a black man wearing dark clothing was seen running from the area a short time after the shooting.

Janet Pope-Givens, spokeswoman for Pasadena PD said, "No suspects are in custody, but detectives are actively investigating" the case.
