Edmundo Lorenzo, a 34-year-old Latino, was fatally shot Monday, Sept. 26, in the 8800 block of West 18th Street in Pico-Robertson, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.
Lorenzo was walking about 11:40 p.m. Sunday when he was shot, said Lt. Carlos Islas of the Los Angeles Police Department's West Los Angeles station.
Police responded to a report of shots fired, and neighbors heard a vehicle leaving the scene, Islas said.
There was no description of the gunman, and it was unclear what the motive was.
After the shooting, the victim was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where he died. According to coroner's records, Lorenzo was shot several times.
