Eduardo Gonzalez, 41 [Update]

Eduardo Gonzalez, a 41-year-old Latino male, was fatally shot Saturday, Dec. 3, near Euclid Avenue and Inez Street in Boyle Heights, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Officers responded to a shooting call about 4:20 p.m. and discovered Gonzalez sitting in a car with several gunshot wounds.

Paramedics were called and the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators did not provide any additional information about the shooting.

[Updated, Dec. 12: Further investigation has revealed that the homicide appears to be gang-related, according to a statement by the Los Angeles Police Department. Gonzalez was driving a GMC pickup truck — a friend’s vehicle — near his home when he was shot multiple times. The assailant has not been identified.]

This was a remarkable man, he was my companion n my friend, and definately was a great dad anyone who knew him will agree with me, he made a difference in my life. U will be missed babe....but u will always live in my heart forever because with you u took it....But like I always told you in person i gave you my heart for keeps....Love u n will always miss u Daddy!!!! U will remain in prayers always...RIP!!!
