Edward Hernandez, a 38-year-old Latino man, died of blunt-force trauma to the head and torso on Thursday, Nov. 20, 2008, after he was beaten while working at a bar in the 900 block of South Gerhart Avenue in Commerce.
Three suspects, all Latino men in their 20s or 30s, were arrested in connection with the homicide, which occurred about 9:30 p.m. at Nicola's Bar, according to a Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department report.

Edward AKA Eddie Hernandez was a great father and a great friend. He was so full of life and had so much to live for. How cruel and unfair it is to have your life cut short for heartless reasons...May you rest in peace Eddie...we miss you!!!
