Died Jan. 29, 2011
Edwin Perla, a 19-year-old Latino, was fatally shot Saturday, Jan. 29, in the 11100 block of South New Hampshire Avenue in Westmont, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.
Perla was found on a sidewalk about 6:30 p.m., said Sgt. Michael Thomas of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. He had sustained multiple gunshot wounds and died at the scene.
Detectives believe the shooting may be gang-related but are still investigating the circumstances, Thomas said.

This guy was a gang member from a latino gang called wafflo 13. They are at war with many criminal gangs in that area and as a result he got grooved. That's basically the story there

Why shouldn't gangs be "disrepected?" (What a word - "disrepected." Like gangs are some sort of royalty.) They rob stores, carjack or steal cars, beat up, stab and/or shoot people, dead.
Gangs deserve the respect given to a common garbage fly. Something you swat, step on, spray bug killer at.
Gangs hurt so many people in so many terrible ways. Respect them? Is that some sort of super incredibly stupid joke? Gangs are a cancer on society. Not something to respect. Something to eradicate, however and whenever possible. In short, they are something you "disrespect."
